KOKRAJHAR, April 19: An awareness programme on fertiliser application was organised on Monday to impart training to farmers on agricultural farming in Kokrajhar at agricultural training hall.

Hundreds of farmers from different areas participated in the awareness programme which was organised by Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited (BVFCL).

It has been emphasising on increased production of crop and farmer’s income by judicious use of fertiliser.

BTC director of agriculture Kanak Chandra Roy, area manager of BVFCL Pran Nath graced the occasion as speaker and presented lectures on the fertiliser application.

Kokrajhar agricultural officer Hari Boro said that the awareness programme was held to create awareness on the application and use of fertilisers while producing more crops among the farmers.

He said that the agriculture department has been emphasising on multiple production of crops.

He has urged farmers to come forward to produce massive multiple crops in the district.
