Pune, Apr 19 (UNI): Day temperatures were above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at many places over Saurashtra-Kutch, Konkan-Goa; at a few places over Assam, Meghalaya, Gujarat region and coastal Karnataka; at isolated places over Vidarbha, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal. They were appreciably below normal (-3.1°C to -5.0°C) at many places over Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan and Muzaffarabad; at a few places over Himachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands; below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) at many places over Kerala and Mahe, at a few places over Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Bihar; at isolated places over east Uttar Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, west Rajasthan, Telangana and near normal over rest parts of the country. The highest maximum temperature of 43.1°C was reported at Bramhapuri (Vidarbha).
Thunderstorm observed (from 2030 hours IST of yesterday to 0830 hrs IST of today) at isolated places over Uttarakhand, Assam,
Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, coastal Karnataka, north Interior Karnataka, Odisha, Lakshadweep, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam.
Hailstorm observed at isolated places over West Bengal, Sikkim (Cooch Behar, Jalpaiguri, Gangtok), Uttarakhand (Mussoorie, Nainital), Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan and Muzaffarabad.
Thundersquall (wind speed reaching 60 kmph) observed at isolated places over Odisha (Paradip).
Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim and coastal Karnataka and at many places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh and at a few places in Odisha, Uttarakhand, north Interior Karnataka, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep and at isolated places in Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Konkan and Goa, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather has prevailed in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Gujarat state, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and Rayalaseema.
