Expressing deep concern that the Mt Koubru impasse has been taken out of context to fan communal tension between two communities, the Kuki Inpi Manipur has appealed the people of Manipur to respect each other's religious beliefs and sentiments.
S Gouminlun Gangte, secretary, Information and Publicity, KIM said that the sacredness of Mt Koubru in the Meitei religious belief is understood and cannot be denied and pilgrims and worshippers going to Mt.
Koubru must not be disturbed.
It also strongly urged all and sundry to refrain from making statement of any kind that could provoke communal feeling or unrest.

The Kuki Inpi Manipur also appealed the State Government and the Committee on Protection and Preservation of Mt.
Koubru to chalk out a plan so that an amicable solution is reached and the issue under any circumstances must not disturb the communal peace and harmony in the State.
