'The Voice' Season 20: Watch Snoop Dog Mega-Mentor Contestants in First Knockout Round

The teams of The Voice's 20th season will get a little slimmer now that the Knockouts rounds are set to begin on Monday.

Kelly Clarkson is also back from her hiatus. The coach was out sick for the Battles portion of the NBC competition, however, she's returning to her famous red swivel chair and joining fellow coaches Blake Shelton, John Legend and Nick Jonas as they guide their team members through the next round of the competition, the Knockouts.

Similar to the Battles, coaches will pair two of their artists against each other to perform songs. Unlike the Battles, during which the coaches pick songs for the contestants to sing together, the Knockout rounds give the contestants the chance to show off their individual personality and performance styles by allowing them to pick their own songs to sing solo. After each artist performs, their coach has to choose one of them to advance to the next round of the competition while the other returns home.

The Voice coaches will certainly have their work cut out for them when it comes time to choosing contestants to push forward to the Live portion of the competition. Luckily, they'll get some help with their final decisions when Season 20 mega mentor Snoop Dogg makes his arrival to the show, as seen in the episode sneak peek below.

"Snoop is a great collaborator," John Legend says in the preview clip. "He is so influential and has been so iconic for so long."

Of course, the contestants are pretty thrilled to have Snoop offering his guidance to them, too.

As the first set of artists to compete during the Knockouts are unveiled in the sneak peek, Snoop gives a few of them some real advice on how to take their performance to the next level, like when he tells Team Legend Member Gean Garica to "think about mama at home watching this" while he performs "Afterglow" by Ed Sheeran, a song Garcia reveals that he picked in dedication to his mother.

Garcia is set to sing against Team Legend's Victor Solomon, who picked "My Girl" by the Temptations as his Knockout song.

Meanwhile, Snoop advises Team Blake member Ethan Lively to add "a talking element" to his performance of "Help Me Hold On" by Travis Tritt if he plans to edge out his competitor Jordan Matthew Young, who will sing "She Talks to Angels" by the Black Crowes.

"Old-school country musicians used to talk on their records, because they're voices [were] so slick, that when they said something, you paid attention," Snoop informs Ethan.

As for the rest of the match-ups, Team Kelly member Ryleigh Modig is set to face-off against Corey Ward while Team Nick members Dana Monique and Keegan Ferrall will perform against each other. Team Legend's Ciana Pelekai and Pia Renee, as well as Team Blake's Andrew Marshall and Pete Mroz, will also compete during the Knockouts.

The Voice airs on NBC on Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET.
