Madhya Pradesh COVID warrior taken by helicopter to Hyderabad for treatment

Hyderabad: Dr Satyendra Mishra, a leading doctor at Bundelkhand Medical College and the hospital in Madhya Pradesh, was airlifted to Hyderabad on Monday for treatment of COVID-19.

The air ambulance that dr. Mishra from Bhopal, landed at Begumpet airport in the city and from there was transferred to Yashoda Hospital in Secunderabad. Dr Mishra from the Department of Pulmonary Medicine at Bundelkhand Medical College in Sagar City was being treated Covid patients for more than a year.

He recently contracted the virus and after his condition became critical, health authorities in Madhya Pradesh decided to transport him to Hyderabad for advanced treatment. Madivya Pradesh, Prime Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, assured all assistance for the treatment of dr. Mishra after his colleagues from Bundelkhand Medical College called for help to save him.

In a video message, Dr. Umesh Patel of Bundelkhand Medical College said that Dr. Mishra’s condition is critical because 80 percent of his lungs are infected.

Dr Mishra’s colleague called on people to come forward for the treatment of the doctor who treated hundreds Covid patients in the city of Sagar since the outbreak of the pandemic last year.

Dr Patel also called on authorities to rescue Dr Mishra.
