West Bengal is witnessing some hardcore elections in the state this year. BJP and Trinamool are competing neck and neck and the entire country is looking at West Bengal with great interest. At present the 5th phase elections were carried out in the state and Atma Sakshi has released the survey report of the exit polls.

According to the survey,  in the 5th phase elections for 44 seats, bjp will acquire 24 to 27 seats and trinamool congress is said to acquire some 12 seats. It also mentioned that others like congress, Communist party and Muslim front will win the remaining 7 seats or so.

Looking at the data provided in the survey, trinamool congress headed by mamata banerjee will see a dip in the votes this time. It is likely that mamata may lose her chair for bjp this time, says the survey.

Mamata Banarjee has been ruling the state of West bengal from the past two terms and is now eyeing on the third term. The state will poll in 8 phases and the phase 1 started on march 27 while the last phase will take place on april 29. The results of the elections will come out on 2nd May.
