NEW ORLEANS (AP) — A man died when his fast-moving car hit a school bus at an intersection Monday morning, and the bus driver was injured, New Orleans police said.
There weren’t any students on the bus when it was hit about 9:17 a.m. Monday in eastern New Orleans, a news release said.
The statement did not identify the driver of the bus or the driver of the Infiniti that hit it. The bus was on Interstate 510 and was crossing Chef Menteur Highway.
The bus driver, a woman, was in stable condition at a hospital, police said.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will determine the official cause of death and release the man's name after an autopsy and notification of his family.
