UPSC postpones personality test and interview, new dates later

NEW DELHI: Union Public Service Commission on Monday decided to postpone interviews in cases of direct recruitment scheduled on April 20, 2021, and onwards have been postponed. The commission will intimate the fresh dates for the interview in due course.
The notice issued on the Commission’s website reads “All interviews in cases of direct recruitment scheduled on 20th April 2021 and onwards have been postponed. Fresh date(s) of the interview will be intimated in due course.”
The commission has also put off the personality test interviews of IES-ISS exam 2020. The interview was scheduled from April 20 to 23, 2021, which has now been rescheduled. New dates for the same will also be announced in due course of time. The notice reads “Personality Tests-Interviews of the IES-ISS Exam, 2020 (scheduled from 20th-23rd April 2021) are deferred till further notice. New dates will be announced in due course of time.”
Till Sunday, India’s total tally for Covid-19 cases crossed 1.5 crores. After America, India is the only other country that has crossed this level of cumulative cases. For the fourth consecutive day, the nation added more than 2 lakh daily cases to its overall tally. This week alone saw the net addition of 15 lakh which is 10% of India’s total Covid-19 tally.
