It looks like the Hindi film industry wants to bring back mythological content in the movies. We have had some amazing movie announcements such as Adipurush, Ashwatthama, Mahabharat, and more. Looks like in the upcoming years, Indian would get to experience the rich mythology of the country on the silver screens. It would indeed be a visual spectacle, don’t you think? Here are some of the mythological films one can look forward to – Adipurush. The Om Raut directorial is based on Hindi epic – Ramayana and stars Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Sunny Singh and Saif Ali Khan in the lead. The Magnum Opus is said to feature Prabhas as Lord Ram, Kriti as Sita, Sunny Singh as Lakshman and Saif Ali Khan as Ravan. It is said to hit the silver screen in August 2022. Adipurush is being shot in 3D. It is said to be made on a budget of Rs 400-500 crore!

Reportedly, Deepika Padukone will be stepping into the role of Draupadi for Madhu Matena’s directorial based on the Hindi epic – Mahabharat. The film is said to be a part-by-part re-telling of the Hindu epic from Draupadi’s point of view. Deepika Padukone is fantastic in historical drama films. We bet she’ll be as amazing in this epic mythological film too. The Deepika Padukone starrer is said to be made on a huge budget as well.

Aditya Dhar who collaborated with Vicky Kaushal in URI: The Surgical Strike will be reuniting with the actor for the story based on Ashwatthama. It is said that the film will be based in modern times and an action-drama that everyone will enjoy. Ashwatthama is one of the most powerful and mysterious characters of epic Hindu mythology – Mahabharat.

Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh of Pooja Entertainment would bring alive one of the most undermined characters of Mahabharat, Karn. Suryaputra Mahavir Karna, the magnum opus will star Vikram as Karn. It is said that the film is made on a budget of Rs 300 crore, which is more than the budget of Prabhas’ Baahubali: The Conclusion. The film will narrate a testing journey of Suryaputra Karn.

Yes, another epic in the pipeline. Chhichhore director Nitesh Tiwari will bring the mythological tale of Ramayana on the big screen as his next directorial. The trilogy, which will be shot in 3D. The live-action film will be made in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
