Sub: ORDER UNDER SECTION 11(1), 11(4) AND 11B OF THE SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE BOARD OF INDIA ACT, 1992 IN THE MATTER OF THE EQUICOM FINANCIAL RESEARCH PRIVATE LIMITED.

In continuation to the Exchange Notice Nos. 20200122-15 dated January 22, 2020 on the captioned matter.

SEBI vide its order no. WTM/SM/ 18 /2021-22 dated April 19, 2021 has inter-alia issued following directions:

• The Noticee nos. 1 to 3 are hereby restrained from accessing the securities market and further prohibited from buying, selling or otherwise dealing in securities, directly or indirectly, or being associated with the securities market in any manner whatsoever, for a period of three (03) years from the date of this order. It is clarified that while calculating the period of debarment as directed above, the period of restraint already undergone on account of interim order shall be adjusted.

·         In case of failure of the Noticee no. 1 to comply with the directions mentioned in the aforesaid order, the Noticee no. 1 shall be restrained from accessing the securities market and further prohibited from buying, selling or otherwise dealing in securities, directly or indirectly, or being associated with the securities market in any manner whatsoever, for an additional period of three (03) years.

It is further clarified that during the period of restraint, the existing holding of securities including the holding of units of mutual funds of the Noticees shall remain frozen.

This Order is effective from the date of the order. 

A copy of the said Order is attached herewith and also available on the SEBI website www.sebi.gov.in. 

Trading members are advised to take note of the same and ensure compliance.
