Patna: In the midst of the deteriorating Covid in the situation, the Bihar government decided to introduce night watch across the state from Sunday (April 18) to break the chain of infection.
Prime Minister Nitish Kumar made the decision after meeting with crisis management group officials. He attended a general meeting earlier on Saturday under the chairmanship of Governor Phagu Chauhan.
“According to the decision of the crisis management group, we have introduced night clocks in the state. In addition, all educational institutions will remain closed until 15 May. “We have instructed the highest officials of the district to apply the restrictions and take the strongest possible action against the offenders,” he said.
However, Nitish Kumar said that competitive exams such as the BPSC, the SSC and the Technical Selection Commission will be completed on time. The night clock starts at 21:00 and ends at 05:00. Marriages, cremation, funeral and travel are released, but for cremation / funeral only 25 people are allowed and for weddings 100 people.
The prime minister also announced that cinemas, theaters, shopping malls, gyms, swimming pools, parks, restaurants and eateries will remain closed until 15 May. Restaurants and eateries can only provide home delivery.
Furthermore, both private and government officials will be in operation on weekdays until 5pm, and organizing private or government events in ordinary places is punishable. Nitish Kumar also said that section 144 has been imposed in urban areas and that some rural areas are falling but emergency services such as medicine shops, hospitals, fire brigade, police, ambulance, post office, banking and transport services will function.
‘We have instructed the government to ensure liquid oxygen in medical colleges and hospitals in the state. Doctors will also treat Covid patients in subdivisional hospitals and primary health centers. The government must keep a close eye on people who come from other states, ”he said.
Note that corona the cases gradually increased on Sunday with 8,690 new cases, and he said authorities were asked to ensure RT-PCR test reports within the minimum time. “We have also asked authorities for daily monitoring of patients living in home isolation,” he said.
The prime minister also said they had called on migrants to “come to Bihar as soon as possible so that we can make arrangements in quarantine centers accordingly”.
