In a big relief for people, the Rajasthan government on Saturday (April 17) reduced the prices of RT-PCR diagnostic tests for COVID-19 to Rs 350 to help people fight the virus.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot took to Twitter on Saturday to make the announcement that the rates of RT-PCR tests have been slashed by Rs 150, from the earlier price of Rs 500.
“Reviewing the status of COVID-19 infection, all private labs and hospitals in the state have been directed to reduce the price of RT-PCR test to Rs 350, which will be the lowest in the country” Gehlot Tweeted in Hindu.

Gehlot also informed that instructions have been made to make a route-chart on the map for oxygen supply in all districts of Rajasthan, so that medical oxygen supply can be ensured at all places as soon as the need increases.
“Health Department and District Administration should mobilize more resources for corona management in every district,” he said.
The Rajasthan government arrived at this decision after the CM chaired a high-level meeting to to review the COVID-19 situation in the state.
Rajasthan on Saturday (April 17) reported record 9,046 new COVID-19 cases, while 37 new deaths were reported in the last 24 hours. Rajasthan presently accounts for 59,999 active cases.
Presently, a weekend curfew has been imposed in Rajasthan which started on 6 pm on Friday (April 16) and will continue till 5 am on Monday (April 19).
