The queen said her final goodbye to her "strength and stay" on Saturday in a beautiful funeral service.
Prince Philip, the longest-serving consort and husband of Queen Elizabeth, died at the age of 99 on Friday, 9 April.
In a service attended by just 30 guests, many of whom were members of the royal family, Philip was lowered into the Royal Vault at St George's Chapel.
Seen on his casket were a sword, his naval cap and a wreath of flowers selected by his wife, along with a handwritten note that read, in part: "I love you."
People reports the note was signed "Lilibet" – a nickname given to her as a child, with the last person to call her by the endearing term being her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh.
