Karimnagar: Mayor Y Sunil Rao said Sunday that 40 percent of funds have been allocated for the development of newly merged town divisions. The mayor on Sunday laid foundation stones for development works in various sections.
At the event, he announced that various development works had been taken up within the boundaries of the corporation by allocating 60 million in the last board meeting.
While the Karimnagar Smart City works continue in different divisions, corporate funds have been allocated to the divisions formed with newly merged towns. In order to develop all departments equally, they made the decision, he said, promising to develop suburban departments at the same level as the city. Drinking water pipelines, drainage, CC roads, divers and other works were taken up by appropriating 40 per cent funds in the outdoor divisions.
Sunil Rao said there is no money, and instructed contractors to continue the work without compromising the quality of the works. After all current works have been completed during the summer season, new works will be taken up by completing the tender process. He said there would be inconvenience in the area where the works are being continued, and called on the people to work with officials.
