Bhopal: About 800 Remdesivir injections were allegedly stolen from Hamidia Hospital in Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh. Police have registered a case.
“17 boxes of Remdesivir were stolen. Each box contains 48 injections and only a few of the boxes have been opened, ‘Ramsnehi Mishra, assistant police superintendent, said on Saturday.
A case has been registered in the case. Further investigation is underway.
Remdesivir is considered as an important antiviral drug in the fight against COVID-19. Several states across the country have called for more supplies amid record increases COVID-19 infections.
Madhya Pradesh on Sunday recorded 63,889 active cases according to the Ministry of Health of the Union.
