Chandigarh, April 18: President, Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee, Kumari Selja said that the failure and negligence of the BJP-JJP government of Haryana over the Corona infection has created a grave crisis in front of the people of the state. The news of the collapse of health services coming from different places in Haryana is shocking. If the government had strengthened the health systems in the last year, today people would not have been wandering for hospitals, beds, ventilators, oxygen, medicines.
In a statement issued here today, Kumari Selja said that the situation has reached a very dangerous level due to corona infection in the state. The situation has deteriorated so much that neither patients are getting beds nor ventilators. There is also a lack of oxygen and essential medicines. The misconceptions in the state can be gauged from the fact that a woman infected by Corona has died due to a lack of beds in Agroha. Despite this, the government is not paying any attention to strengthening the health services, she added.
Kumari Selja said that a large number of cases are being reported daily in the state. The number of infected patients is increasing every day. The havoc of Corona has exposed the government’s big claims and misconceptions. The improper implementation of the Testing, Tracking, and Tracing formula has further worsened the situation. The death toll is also moving towards a new peak. In Haryana, the number of deaths in the last 9 days has increased by an average of 17 percent daily. In the last 9 days, the number of serious patients has doubled to 500. On Saturday, more than seven and a half thousand new cases of corona infection were reported and 34 patients have lost their lives.
Kumari Selja said that the situation could become more uncontrollable if the Haryana government did not take care of the creaking health services. The government should make quick preparations to deal with the serious situations coming up. Along with this, the central government should reconsider its priority for vaccination and reduce the vaccination age limit to 25 years, said Kumari Selja.
