Telangana’s daily COVID-19 count violations 5,000 mark

Hyderabad: Daily COVID-19 score in Telangana exceeds the 5,000 mark with 5,093 new infections, the highest ever in a single day’s rise that pushed the score to more than 3.51 lakh, while the toll rose to 1824 with another 15 deaths.

The largest number of cases was in 743 with the most cases, followed by Medchal Malkajgiri (488) and Rangareddy (407), a government bulletin said Sunday with details from 5pm on April 17th.

The total number of cumulative cases was at 3.51,424 while 1555 patients were cured, the total recovery was at 3,112,563.

The state has 37,037 active cases and more than 1.29 lakh samples were tested Friday.

Cumulatively, more than 1.17 peak samples were tested.

The samples tested per million inhabitants were more than 3.15 lakh, according to the bulletin.

The death rate in the state was 0.51 percent, while at the national level it was 1.2 percent.

The recovery rate in Telangana was 88.94 percent, while it was 86.6 percent in the country.

According to a separate release, more than 25.91 lakh people in the state received their first dose COVID-19 vaccine while more than 3.60 lakh also got their second shot on April 17th.
