Atlassian looks to fill 1000 jobs globally, 300 in Bengaluru

A mass recruitment drive is set to take over Atlassian as the company gears up to expand. Increased demand for R&D developers in Bengaluru also expected.

The creator of successful workplace collaboration and productivity tools like Jira and Confluence - Atlassian has stated to hire 1,000 new employees worldwide. This includes 300 Research and development engineers in India to scale operations in Bengaluru.

Currently working with a team of 700 employees, this Bengaluru based cloud-first company is the fastest growing R&D site ever. Commenting on the mass recruitment drive, Dinesh Ajmera, Site Lead and Head of Engineering is reported to have said, “we have invested significantly in talent acquisition in India, but the ongoing pandemic which has fuelled a sharp rise in team collaboration and productivity software has added the need to bring in even more talent. Globally, we’ve welcomed just short of 500 new Atlassians in the last quarter, mostly in R&D roles. As we continue to invest in and drive durable long-term growth, we also intend to maintain our ambitious hiring goals for the remainder of 2021.”

Atlassian is well known for its work culture by putting employees first and coming up with new methods to make the workplace employee-friendly. Recently the company provide a generous allowance of $US500 to let the employees have an effective Work From Home setup, in addition to its existing perks and benefits.
