Hyderabad: With the Covid As the pandemic worsened, the Minister of Municipal Administration and Urban Development, KT Rama Rao, instructed officials to initiate special sanitations in addition to extensive spraying of sodium hypochlorite and other disinfectants in the GHMC and all other municipalities and municipal corporations.
The Minister wanted the officials to cancel leave and ensure 100 percent attendance of employees. He instructed the entomologists in all the municipalities and municipal corporations to be vigilant.
‘All officials must work in collaboration with the Department of Health and take measures to Covid spread, ”said Rama Rao.
The minister spoke by telephone on Saturday with telephone general secretary Arvind Kumar, CDMA director Satyanarayana, commissioner of the GHMC, Lokesh Kumar, and instructed them to immediately inject sodium hypochlorite, especially in public places and other vulnerable areas.
“Use all the vehicles available for spraying. If necessary, rent more, ”Rama Rao ordered the officials. He also instructed them to use Pattana Pragathi funds to tackle the works.
‘Conduct awareness campaigns on security measures to be taken to combat the virus. Ensure that citizens wear masks in public spaces at all times, ”he added.
The Minister gave specific instructions to the officials to vaccinate all frontline workers in the department. In response, the officials informed the Minister that by all Sunday all employees and staff in the GHMC would be vaccinated. In other municipalities and municipal corporations, the exercise will be completed within a few days.
The general secretary of MA&UD, Arvind Kumar, later instructed the municipal commissioners and other officials to personally monitor the sanitation measures and to spray disinfectants thoroughly.
