Osmanabad, Apr 17 (UNI) The Government Agriculture College at Osmanabad in Marathwada region of Maharashtra has developed a training programme in poultry farming to make the youths self-reliant.
The Agricultural College, affiliated to the Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth, is training the students in rearing broiler hens using modern technology.
Project head Prof Dr K R Chavan expressed that this project would be of great help in making the students entrepreneurs in agriculture sector.
"If the students do not get a job after taking the degree, they should be able to do this business well, so that they can learn by practical demonstration," he added.
Dr Chavan hoped to produce and manage boilers within the college.
