Congress suspends SEC, TS Govt for announcing civil polling schedules

Hyderabad: The Congress party sued the state election commission and the TRS government on Friday for announcing the election schedule for two municipal corporations and five municipalities.

‘It seems ridiculous that the SEC announced the poll schedule within two hours after the Department of Education announced the cancellation of SSC exams and the postponement of the midterm exam Covid-19 situation. This dual approach by Prime Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao and his government is quite enigmatic. TRS Govt closes all schools but allows liquor stores until late at night, “said former minister and former leader of opposition in the Telangana Legislative Council, Mohammed Ali Shabbir, while speaking at a press conference in Gandhi on Friday. Bhavan addressed.

Shabbir Ali has demanded that the Telangana government declare a medical emergency in the state in view of increasing cases of Covid-19 and deaths. He also demands the postponement of municipal elections.

He said the state government was not at all succeeding in Covid-19 situation.

He said there were no beds available in government or in private hospitals, nowhere in the state.

Furthermore, there was a large oxygen shortage in many state hospitals. Similarly, the fan beds were not even available at a premium, he claims.

Shabbir Ali said the demands made by Health Minister Eatala Rajender over the availability of facilities in state hospitals and the real situation were highly contradictory.

He said the Minister of Health did not even have an idea about available bed strength in the state. Referring to an example, Shabbir Ali said that a Mandal President of the Congress Party from the district of Kamareddy was admitted Covid treatment and doctors recommended that he should go to any major hospital in Hyderabad.

Although from the Media Bulletin it appears that more than 2,500 beds in GHMC limits are empty, including 1,466 beds in Gandhi Hospital and 806 in TIMS.

He said he had personally spoken to the Minister of Health to record his intervention in a large hospital for Kamareddy’s leader.

The Congress leader accused the TRS government of hiding real statistics about it Covid-19 cases and deaths. Similarly, he said that the details of healthcare facilities are also exaggerated to address false claims.

‘Prime Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao plays with the lives of innocent people through the Covid-19 numbers. He is apparently the only prime minister in the country who has not held a review meeting Covidse situation. His only focus is on politics. He is least bothered whether people live or die due to Coronavirus. “His only concern is to win the election at all costs,” he said.

Shabbir Ali said people now realized that KCR is a highly selfish politician whose sole purpose is to win elections.

Therefore, this time people of Nagarjuna Sagar have decided to teach KCR an appropriate lesson and they will do so by securing the victory of the Candidate of Congress, Jana Reddy, by an overwhelming majority of more than 50,000 votes.

The Congress leader said the state should take a breather from elections and other activities involving crowds and mass gatherings.

Therefore, he said that the election of two municipal corporations and five municipalities to be held on April 30 will be postponed.

‘It is strange that the TRS government has closed schools and colleges but allowed wine shops because it needs more revenue.
