Vinay Agrawal, the Chief Executive Officer of Angel Broking, passed away on Saturday (April 17) at the age of 57. Agarwal was suffering from stomach cancer, reported CNBCTV18.
"It is hereby informed that Mr Vinay Agrawal Whole-Time Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Company passed away today i.e., Saturday, April 17, 2021,” the stock broking firm informed in its exchange filing.
The first CEO of Angel broking, Agrawal was a Chartered Account by profession holding the executive position since 2015. He had joined the stock broking fir in the year 2000 as a consultant.
On Friday (April 16), the company announced the highest-ever monthly client acquisition in March.
Agrawal also the Whole Time Director in the company and had 20 years of experience in fields like Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) domain while also covering various aspects like finance & operations, business development, product development and e-broking.
"The digital stockbroker has onboarded 3,79,233 customers during March 2021 while continuing its stellar run in the broking industry. The total client base of Angel Broking has now increased to 41 lakh as of March 2021," the firm had said in a media release.
