Unrest was reported in several booths in Bidhannagar. The situation escalated in the Trinamool-BJP clash in Shantinagar, Salt Lake. BJP Trinamool Congress supporters started raining bricks on each other. BJP candidate Sabyasachi Dutt and Trinamool Congress candidate Sujit Basu also reached the area after receiving the news. The activists of the two camps became more excited. A skirmish ensued. Later the police went and brought the situation under control. BJP candidate alleges Trinamool Congress is provoking Trinamool Congress candidate Sujit Basu has also counter-accused.
