Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa tests +ve for Covid second time, in hospital

BENGALURU: Chief minister BS Yediyurappa on Friday tested positive for Covid-19 - the second time within a year - and was admitted to Manipal Hospitals.
The hospital said the 78-year-old leader was cheerful and clinically stable. "He has tested positive for Covid at an outside laboratory. A medical board of clinical experts has been set up and he is being evaluated and treated for respiratory symptoms," the hospital said.
Govt cancels tomorrow’s all-party meet
On account of the CM testing positive, the government has cancelled the all-party meeting scheduled for April 18.
Earlier, the CM had tested positive on August 2, and was admitted to Manipal Hospitals for eight days. In Belagavi for the last leg of campaigning for the LS bypoll, Yediyurappa complained of uneasiness and mild temperature on landing at Sambra airport on Wednesday.
