  • Hot 91.9FM has announced a few new changes to their weekday line-up, including the addition of TV and radio personality Ursula Chikane.
  • Ursula joins the station as the host of a brand-new weekday show from 12:00 to 15:00.
  • The news comes after Sam Cowen announced she would be departing at the end of April.

Hot 91.9FM has announced some changes to their new line-up. This after news that breakfast show presenter Sam Cowen would be leaving the station at the end of April.

In a statement to the press, the station revealed some exciting new changes to their weekday line-up, including the addition of TV and radio personality Ursula Chikane.

The new morning show line-up will be made up of Tony Murrell, Bunny Majaja, Simon Hill, John Walland and Ragani Achary, followed by Mark Pilgrim with The Mark Pilgrim Show from 09:00 to 12:00.

The station then welcomes Ursula Chikane to a brand-new show weekdays from 12:00 to 15:00.

"No stranger to radio, Ursula has been an award-winning radio and television presenter since the mid-1990s. You may know Ursula from her time as the longest-running presenter on Top Billing and from her radio work which extends from the World Chart Show on 5fm to the past almost 8 years on Power 98.7. Ursula will bring her brand of sophistication to the show with three solid hours of the best in Old Skool music, great conversations and overall fun entertainment," the press statement reveals.

About joining the Hot 91.9FM team, Ursula said: "I can't wait to meet my new and some old colleagues...and I'm really eager to get to know the HOT 91.9FM listeners."

The Parky Squad on The Big Joburg Drive takes over between 15:00 and 18:30 as Simon Parkinson, Keorapetse Hlope, and Dylan Rogers accompany listeners on the drive home.

"We are looking forward to the new line-up and are confident our listeners will love it too. It's a fresh fusion of presenters and of course we are delighted to welcome Ursula to the Hot Family," said Hot 91.9FM founder and managing director Lloyd Madurai.
