IPL 2021 Points Table, Orange Cap and Purple Cap Latest Table Today: DC drop to fourth spot with loss against RR

Chris Morris (36 off 18) justified his Rs 16 crore price tag to some extent as he helped RR pull off an improbable three-wicket win and get home with two balls to spare. David Miller also played a pivotal role with the bat, top-scoring with 62 off 43, when RR were reeling at 36/4.

Earlier, RR did a fine job with the ball, restricting a power-packed DC line up to 147/8 as none of the DC batsmen, barring Rishabh Pant (51 off 32), failed to make a major contribution. Jaydev Unadkat was the pick of the bowlers, finishing with a spell of 3/15. The Saurastra seamer was also adjudged the Man of the Match.

With the win, RR have jumped to the fifth spot on the points table with two points.

Earlier on Wednesday, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) beat Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by six runs in yet another thriller, becoming the table-toppers in the process. Mumbai Indians (MI), Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC) occupy the second, third and fourth spots respectively, but PBKS have only played a single game so far.

Orange Cap holder: KKR's Nitish Rana (137 runs)

Purple Cap holder: RCB's Harshal Patel (7 wickets)
