A weekend curfew has been imposed in Chandigarh on Friday amid an unprecedented surge in coronavirus cases. The curfew order will remain in force between 10 pm Friday and 5 am Monday.

However, essential services will be allowed during this period. The decision was taken during a high-level meeting of the Chandigarh administration.
