    Indian Oil Corp. shares gain 0.61% as Sensex rises

    The Dow Jones Industrial Average finished up 1,048.86 points, or 5.20 per cent, to 21,237.38 on Tuesday. The S&P500 index increased 143.06 points, or 6.00 per cent, to 2,529.19.

    Shares of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. traded 0.61 per cent higher in Friday's session at 01:02PM (IST). The stock opened at Rs 89.7 and has touched an intraday high and low of Rs 91.1 and Rs 89.55, respectively, during the session so far.

    The stock quoted a 52-week high of Rs 105.0 and a 52-week low of 71.15. About 716,838 shares changed hands on the counter so far.

    Benchmark Nifty50 was up 92.1 points at 14673.55, while the BSE Sensex traded 175.33 points higher at 48979.01 at the time of writing of this report.

    In the Nifty pack, 40 stocks traded the day in the green, while 10 were in the red.


    Key Financials
    For the quarter ended 31-Dec-2020, the company reported consolidated sales of Rs 148769.23 crore, up 79.54 per cent from the previous quarter's Rs 82862.42 crore and up 19.58 per cent from the year-ago quarter. The company reported net profit of Rs 4359.11 crore for the latest quarter.

    Promoter Holdings
    Promoters held 51.5 per cent stake in the company as of 31-Mar-2021, while FIIs held 5.81 per cent and MFs 4.66 per cent.

    Technicals
    On the technical charts, the 200-Day Moving Average (DMA) of the stock stood at Rs 88.9 on April 16, while the 50-DMA was at Rs 96.83. If a stock trades above 50-DMA and 200-DMA, it usually means the immediate trend is upward. On the other hand, if the stock trades well below 50-DMA and 200-DMA both, it is considered as bearish trend and if trades between these averages, then it suggests the stock can go either way.
