The Turkish Ministry of Health, in association with the Ministry of Tourism & Culture has started the vaccination process in full force. Employees with the travel and tourism sector would be the first ones to receive vaccination, so that in summer, visitors would be in no doubt regarding traveling to Turkey.
Globally, there’s a rush of vaccination programmes now. As more and more destinations are thinking about reopening for vaccinated travelers, Turkey has gone a step further to make sure that its citizens in tourism business are vaccinated. The vaccination drive currently ongoing in Turkey is for employees with airports, airlines, travel agencies and accommodations. The vaccination is also being given to professional guides. Turkey is looking to complete the vaccination programme right before the summer season starts.
The vaccination programme is under the Safe Tourism Certification Program of the country that aims to allow international travelers travel around Turkey in a safe and secure manner. The Safe Tourism Certification Program is known as one of the most successful programmes of its kind in the world right now.
