Hyderabad: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examins (CISCE) has decided to postpone the ICSE (Class X) and ISC (Class XII) exams, taking into account the recent increase in Covid-19 cases across the country. The exams would originally be held from 4 May.
According to the council, the decision on the conduct of the examinations will be made on the basis of the Covid-19 situation, in the first week of June. While the ISC exams will be conducted at a later date, the ICSE candidates have the option to write the exam with the ISC candidates or not to write the exam. In the event that the ICSE candidates choose not to write the examination, CISCE will develop a fair and unbiased criterion while preparing the results of the candidates.
Earlier this week, the Central Council for Secondary Education canceled its Class 10 board exams and postponed the Class 12 board exams. Several state councils have also postponed or canceled their exams.
