Kothagudem: ACB officials arrested P Albert, an MPDO, and caught him in the act while accepting bribes of Rs 20,000 at his Paloncha district office on Friday.
According to officials, the accused demanded the money to remove an account belonging to Vaikunta Dhamam and the landfill, which was built in Pandurangapuram in Paloncha. The complainant, a Ramalingaiah, who agreed to pay bribes, approached the ACB.
The MPDO was arrested, the bribe was recovered from his possession and he was to be produced before the ACB court in Hyderabad, ACB officials said. It may be recalled that ACB trapped a junior assistant at the Paloncha tahsildar office last month.
