Thread: Twitter suspends Proj. Veritas founder James O'Keefe - No reason given

Seems reasonable.

They use violence to shut down free speech, use massive censorship to stop dissenting voices, and shut down actual journalists who expose corruption, and they have the gall to call US fascists...

Reason:

“The account you referenced (@JamesOKeefeIII) was permanently suspended for violating the Twitter Rules on platform manipulation and spam,” a Twitter spokesperson said in a email to The Hill.

“As outlined in our policy on platform manipulation and spam, 'You can’t mislead others on Twitter by operating fake accounts,' and 'you can’t artificially amplify or disrupt conversations through the use of multiple accounts,'” the spokesperson said.

Weird. Break the rules, get suspended. Never heard of that before.....

If you don’t like Twitter, don’t use it.

Let's see how this one plays out before the usual,

a) "I love CNN and hate O'Keefe... he's in the wrong!" or b) "I love O'Keefe exposing CNN... he's in the right!"

He had to know he was on eggshells, that Twitter isn't going to treat him fairly and would be looking for any excuse. If he actually did violate some rule or have multiple sockpuppet accounts to 'engage' with? Well, it kind of sucks he'd get a permanent ban over that, something anyone non-controversial wouldn't, but like I opened with, that's on him. He should have played perfectly by the rules (if he didn't).

As it stands, I believe he's suing for defamation. So he might be arguing it's not true and maybe it isn't. For once can we all put our partisan BS aside and let it play out rather than just demand whatever person we more closely agree with politically is somehow in the right on this case?

Whether you like or dislike or agree with him, none of that has any impact on whether he actually did do this or not and it should play out in court...

Really politics don't play much of a role aside from, I don't like to be lied to and I don't like government propaganda. It just happens that one side is more often caught peddling propaganda and lying to the public. That's just my opinion though.
