Cultural show concludes

Bishnupur, April 15 2021: The cultural show organised by Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy, Imphal as a part of the 77th anniversary of Flag Hoisting Day observance in INA Martyr's Memorial Complex, Moirang concluded today.

During the show jointly organised by Department of Art and Culture, Government of Manipur, North Eastern Council (NEC) and JN Manipur Dance Academy Imphal, 270 artists of JN Manipur Dance Academy displayed 24 different art forms.

Speaking to the media person, JN Manipur Dance Academy, Director, Pukhrambam Bilash Singh stated Khongjom Praba, Moirang Praba, Moirang Sai, Pung-Chollom, etc were performed to pay homage to the brave freedom fighters of the State.

He mentioned that the main aim of the academy is to encourage the artist performing the different art forms of the State in order to preserve and promote the art by demonstrating them to the public.

He also highlighted the importance of cultural exchange towards the integrity of the State and stated that the art forms of all the different communities represent the art and culture of Manipur.
