    Closure of malls gives high-street establishments undue advantage: Mall operators

    Synopsis

    “While it is important to break the chain and we will abide by the order, the government should also take similar action against high-street markets. It’s a matter of 15-20 days and will not impact the business much,” said Pushpa Bector, executive director at DLF Retail.

    The recent closure order of malls by the Delhi government has given an ‘undue’ advantage to high-street establishments that continue to operate even as retailers in malls are shut due to the newly imposed restrictions, say the mall operators.
