Hyderabad: Former Telangana tourism and tribal welfare minister Azmeera Chandulal took his last breath on Thursday night at 66.
Chandulal, who served as minister in the former AP prime minister (undivided) NT Rama Rao and Telangana prime minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s cabinet, is suffering COVID-19.
Prime Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao expressed sadness over Chandulal’s death and expressed his condolences to the grieving family. When he tweeted in Telugu, he recalled the services of Chaudulal of sarpanch to the minister. “His services to the tribe could not be forgotten and his death left a void in the TRS party,” the CM said.
Chandulal began his political career in 1981 and was first elected as the Sarpanch of the town of Jaggannapet. He was also the politburo member of the TDP and TRS.
Health Minister Eatala Rajender condemned Chandulal’s death. As he writes on Twitter, it is sad to learn the news and convey his condolences to the family.
