Telangana: Orders for increase in retirement age of power personnel issued

Hyderabad: The Transmission Corporation of Telangana Limited has issued instructions to increase the age of superannuation from 58/60 years to 61 years for employees working in the power providers in the state.

The age of retirement in respect of the category “workers”, which is classified as staff for ministry and maintenance (O and M) and now falls under the OSS concept of non-statutory rules and of which the age of retirement according to these rules is 58 years is, should be increased to 61 years.

The age of retirement in respect of the category of workers, who are classified as O and M or construction workers, such as guard, sweeper and others, whose age of retirement is currently to be increased from 60 to 61 years, Transco Chairman and Managing Director D Prabhakar Rao said on Thursday in orders issued.

The employees, who retired after 30 March 2021, must report to the appointing authorities within two days from the date of issue of these orders and the period from the date of re-incorporation to the date of reporting on the issuance of compulsory waiting eligible.

The employee, who is re-employed, will be protected with all the service benefits, including seniority, to which he / she was previously entitled. The employees who retired after 30 March 2021 will have to repay all the terminal benefits paid to them before they are put back into use.

Delay in the overpayment of paid terminal benefits will attract interest from the date of release of terminal benefits at a rate of nine percent per annum. The period of absence of the employees who retired after 30 March and re-employed to date will be considered as on duty, and all the service benefits arising from employment regulations / orders will be extended. 1, 2021, until the date of re-incorporation as leave of absence, they must be credited as leave on their credit.

The above orders take effect on 30 March 2021. These orders do not apply to employees in the following categories – employees who retired on superannuation before 30 March 2021 and those who work on a contract basis.

Transfers

Hyderabad: Telangana Limited’s Southern Power Distribution Company has transferred five divisional engineers (DEs).

The names of DEs and their new post are as follows: T Garuthmonthraju (DE (Operations), Kondapur, S Narender Reddy (DE (Technical) Central Circle), M Siva Shankar (DE (Operations) Ibrahimbagh, P Gopala Krishna (DE ( Operations) Gachibowli) and Y Narasimha Reddy (DE (Operations) Jeedimetla).
