Panel launches portal to help SCs file and track complaints

NEW DELHI: The National Commission for Scheduled Castes on Wednesday launched “Online Grievance Management Portal” designed to help online filing and tracking of complaints.
Union minister for communication & IT Ravi Shankar Prasad unveiled the portal on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti at a function also attended by NCSC chairman Vijay Sampla and minister of state for social justice Rattan Lal Kataria besides commission vice-chairman Arun Halder and members Anju Bala and Ramnath Pardhi. Prasad lauded Ambedkar as a social reformer and an economist who played a key role in the drafting of India’s Constitution, even as he lashed out at Congress for not giving him the Bharat Ratna till a late stage.
Sampla said the portal would make it easier for SCs to register complaints from any part of the country as it will facilitate an end-to-end e-filing of complaints and grievances and their tracking.
