Kabul, Apr 15 (UNI) A day after US President Joe Biden announced to withdraw the troops by September 11, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has reached the capital of Afghanistan for negotiations on the peace process and the troop withdrawal, according to a source in Afghanistan security establishment.
"Blinken has arrived in Kabul to discuss with [Afghan] President [Ashraf] Ghani and other Afghan government officials the peace process and how US troops will leave Afghanistan," Russian news agency Sputnik quoted the source as saying.
On Wednesday, US President Joe Biden announced that the US troops pullout from Afghanistan would be completed by September 11, the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
