The royal family, including Clarence House and Kensington Palace, has taken to their respective social media platforms to share never-before-seen photos of Prince Philip as they continue to honour the duke after his passing.

The Duke of Edinburgh died on Friday, 9 April. He will lay at Windsor Castle, the palace shared, until his funeral on Saturday at St George's Chapel. The prince will not have a state funeral, per his request, and it has since been announced royal family members who served will not wear military uniforms, reports ITV News. The reason being to avoid any embarrassment, both for Prince Andrew, who stepped down from royal duties following backlash over his former friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, and Prince Harry, who exited the firm in 2020 with Meghan Markle and was stripped of his military titles.

Nevertheless, the royal family, looking back at his life, has shared photos of Prince Philip – with Prince Harry featuring in the carousel of images posted on Instagram.

"Today, members of the royal family have shared photographs of The Duke of Edinburgh, remembering him as a father, grandfather and great-grandfather," they captioned the post, which also sees Prince Philip with Prince Charles, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, as well as Prince William, Kate Middleton and their three children.
