That’s what many are saying after listening to a Delhi Capitals fan’s unique musical adaptation of the IPL 2021 theme song of the team – ‘Roar Macha’ – before the team’s match against Rajasthan Royals today.
The fan – Hemant – is possibly a teenager who is seen playing both a keyboard and tabla as well as tapping a wooden board in his version of the DC theme song. The video of this musical endeavour has been uploaded on the Twitter account of Delhi Capitals and is receiving a lot of attention.
The new DC theme song was released to present a new revitalised Delhi Capitals team. After their good showing last year in the IPL, a new song is well-suited to the new-found confidence and belief in the team. That’s where the tagline – ‘Ye Hain Nayi Dilli‘ comes in.
Furthermore, the appointment of Rishabh Pant, a dashing young batsman to the captaincy also dovetails nicely with the theme of a new Delhi Capitals side.
