Covid-19: Telangana Minister of Health emphasizes the difference between first and second wave

Hyderabad: Health Minister Etela Rajender said today that there was a big difference between the first and second waves Covid 19 virus in the State. He said that while 20 percent of the victims of the first wave of the virus were admitted to hospitals, 95 percent of the victims of the second wave were treated at home.

The minister inspected the TIMS, Gandhi and King Koti hospitals in the wake of the number of residents Covid 19 cases in the state. During his visit, he observed the facilities, including staff available at the hospitals.

At the event, he said that more than half of the 47,000 beds in state hospitals are available for the treatment of Covid 19 patients. He said they were sending the serious cases to Gandhi Hospital and other private hospitals of the state for treatment. He appealed to the health personnel not to keep any form of Dharna and to be vigilant at all times.
