With increase in Covid-19, Gagan Narang changes his wedding plans

Hyderabad: In view of the increase in Covid-19 cases, London Olympic bronze medalist Gagan Narang, whose marriage to Annu Raj Singh, the former Commonwealth gold medalist, is scheduled for April 21, decided to make it a total private affair.

The ace marksman has planned an extensive wedding ceremony with everyone Covid-19 precautions. Since the pandemic situation is not conducive to a social gathering, Narang decided to hold the marriage only in the presence of immediate family members.

‘We have planned and envisioned a different beginning of our new life. However, the current pandemic circumstances call for different measures.

“Taking into account the safety and well-being of us and everyone, after careful consideration, we have decided to demolish the wedding events planned for next week in Hyderabad.”

Narang said health safety is their top priority. ‘It would give us great joy to have you all with us on our special day and to seek your blessings personally, but the health and safety of our loved ones is our highest priority. In the present time we acknowledge that this may not be possible. Since pandemic is still a concern, we decided to opt for an intimate ceremony.

“I said that and Annu and I are sure that you will be with us in mind and spirit when we make wedding vows in the presence of immediate family members only.”
