Fujitsu Australia is now one of just 19 data centre operators around the world authorised to deploy Nvidia DGX systems.
Fujitsu Australia's entry to Nvidia's DGX-ready data centre program shows it is able to provide the compute, storage, networking and other facilities and capabilities required to deliver accelerated AI.
Fujitsu ANZ CEO Graeme Beardsell said "This relationship is an extension of Fujitsu's participation in Nvidia's data centre program in Japan, where the Yokohama data centre hosts more than 60 units of Nvidia DGX infrastructure.
"Extending this existing relationship to Australia demonstrates Fujitsu's exceptional capability in this area. Fujitsu is pleased to be one of the few qualified data centre operators globally that can offer customers a home to run such powerful infrastructure at scale and speed."
According to the company, Fujitsu Australia was chosen to participate in the Nvidia DGX-ready data centre program because of its vast data centre experience, having deployed more than 100 data centres throughout the world. Its facilities are JDCC Tier 4 level, with very high security standards and robustness.
"AI workloads require specialised infrastructure built to enable enterprises to efficiently run AI training, inference and data science workloads," said Nvidia ANZ enterprise country manager Sudarshan Ramachandran.
"The Nvidia DGX-ready data centre program helps customers around the world accelerate their success by creating a simplified path to AI adoption. By joining the Nvidia DGX-ready program, Fujitsu Australia will be offering customers one of the best in class infrastructure and data centre solutions available in the market today."
Nvidia this week announced its next-generation DGX SuperPod AI supercomputer featuring BlueField-2 data processing units (DPUs) to isolate each tenant's data.
