While bank branches will remain off limits for customers, ATMs will remain functional subject to availability of cash. For banking services, one can use net banking or mobile banking.
Cities/regions where banking services won't be available today include: Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Guwahati, Bhubaneswar, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Jaipur, Patna, Ranchi, Thiruvananthapuram, Agartala, Nagpur, Dehradun, Imphal, Kanpur, Kochi, Srinagar, Gangtok, Panaji, Jammu, among others.
Banking services were shut in many parts on April 13 too — on account of Vaisakhi, Gudi Padwa, first day of Navratra, Telugu New Year’s Day, Ugadi Festival, Sajibu Nongmapanba (Cheiraoba).
Banks will remain closed in many regions tomorrow and the day after as well. The bank holidays will differ from state to state.
April 15 is Bengali New Year’s Day, Bohag Bihu, Sarhul and Himachal Day.
On April 16, banks in Assam will remain shut on account of Bohag Bihu.

Also in todays digitalizaton era one has many options like ATM RTGS NEFT IMPS Payment of taxes Opening of FD savings account. These can be done without visiting bank branch. In India we have many public holidays and every section of society is enjoying many holidays.Banking fraternity never asked for so many holidays.
