Indian constitution has attracted the attention of many countries: Bharati Hollikeri

Mancherial: Collector Bharati Hollikeri said the citizens of the country were reaping the benefits of the constitution passed by an expert panel led by dr. BR Ambedkar was led, recorded. Together with MLA N Diwakar Rao and Peddapalli MP Dr B Venkatesh Netha, she paid tribute to Ambedkar during his 130th birthday which was celebrated here on Wednesday.

During the event, Bharati recalled Ambedkar’s unparalleled contributions to the Indian constitution. She said he drafted the good constitution that drew the attention of many countries and upheld the values, culture and traditions of the country. He was determined to bring about the work of laws and to eradicate inequalities in society.

The IAS official said that a study circle called Ambedkar will be created in the Mancherial District Center to provide qualitative coaching to aspirants of government jobs and to train the unemployed in various fields. She handed out certificates of appreciation to 16 volunteers who helped the town of Narlapur in Mandamarri achieve 100 percent literacy within 100 days.

Later, the Collector, Diwakar Rao and Venkatesh Netha handed out fruit to patients from the hospital in the district’s headquarters in celebration of the celebration.

District SC Development Officer Ravinder Reddy, Adult Education District Officer Purushottam Naik, Mancherial P Rajaiah Municipal Chairman and Medical Superintendent Dr. Aravind, District Headquarters, was present.
