Actor Nondumiso Tembe paid tribute to Anele 'Nelli' Tembe in a heartfelt Instagram post on Tuesday.
According to True Love and Sowetan Live, Nondumiso and Anele are related, with the former Generations actor often referring to her cousin as her "baby sister".
On Sunday, police said that a 22-year-old woman had fallen to her death from the 10th floor of the Pepperclub Hotel in Loop street in Cape Town.
Rapper AKA (real name Kiernan Forbes), who was engaged to Anele, and the Tembe family confirmed her death in a statement shortly thereafter. "We are still in shock and are dealing with our emotions, as she was an exceptional and gifted young woman, with so much life ahead of her," said the statement.
Posting a photo of Anele playfully kissing her on the cheek, Nondumiso wrote on Instagram: "Ngiphelelwe amazwi - Words fail me right now."
"We will hold you in our hearts forever. Lala kahle, mbali yethu," she continued.
She went on to thank her followers for their "kind words of comfort" shared with the family.
Celebrities continued to offer messages of condolences. "Im so so sorry for your loss, [sic]" said Terry Pheto. Other celebrities to share a message of support include Refilwe Modiselle, Malina Moye and Sthandiwe Kgoroge.
