Rajanna-Sircilla: Deputy Chairman of TS Planning Board, B Vinod Kumar, announced that fencing will be installed on the railing of Road over Bridge (RoB) built over the backwater of the Mid Manair reservoir near Kodurupaka of Boinpalli, to end suicides.
The incidents of suicide by jumping into the MMD water have improved recently. Vinod Kumar along with Choppadandi MLA Sunke Ravishankar visited the place on Wednesday and explored the place.
Vinod Kumar said during the event to arrange fences and lights at the bridge to end suicides. He called on the people not to commit suicide, and urged the public to face challenges with courage. He reported that letters had been written to District Collector D Krishna Bhaskar as well as Engineer-General for arranging fences and lights at the bridge. Work will begin by completing the tender process soon.
Based on the instructions of Vinod Kumar, officials from roads and buildings prepared proposals worth Rs 5 million to arrange fences and lighting and sent them to the government.
