Hyderabad, Apr 14 (UNI) Telangana IT Minister and Working President of the ruling TRS, K T Rama Rao was among the scores of dignitaries who paid floral tributes to the larger-than-life size statue of the Chief architect of Indian Constitution B.R. Ambedkar at the Tank Bund cross roads here on the occasion of the late leader's 130th birth anniversary on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, he said the country's tallest Ambedkar statue will be erected in the city in the near future adding that Gurukul Educational Institutions will be set up to promote Dr Ambedkar's aspirations.
The Minister also recalled the services of Dr Ambedkar for the upliftment of weaker sections of the society.
Health Minister Etela Rajender was among the dignitaries who garlanded the statue at Tank Bund.
Leaders of various political parties and social organisations garlanded Ambedkar statues and organised functions in different parts of the state.
