Both Princes William and Harry released statements on Monday, paying tribute to their grandfather, Prince Philip.

The Duke of Edinburgh died on Friday, 9 April at the age of 99. Prince Harry reflected: "He was my grandpa: master of the barbecue, legend of the banter, and cheeky right 'til the end."

One cheeky moment that comes to mind, People reports, saw the royal drop the f-bomb during a very serious royal engagement.

In 2015, a photographer tried desperately to organise a group photo at an event marking the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain in London.

The Duke of Edinburgh, 94 at the time, pointed the photographer in the direction he should stand and quipped: "Just take the fucking picture!"

Prince William, who attended the event along with Prince Edward and several others, couldn't quite contain his laughter. Luckily, the photographer, and many others, were there to get entire exchange on camera.
