I just got Bose noise cancelling 700s yesterday. And they’re really good. Got them for free thru work. If I didn’t get them for free I probably would have went for the Sony XM4s which are $50-100 cheaper, and most youtubers shill those the most. But I have zero complaints with the Bose. By far the best headphones I’ve used.
Why not?

Bose are the best for noise cancellation and flights, but for the gym, these have worked really well for me. They work decently for mowing the lawn too, but won't cancel out something that loud completely. https://www.amazon.com/EarFun-Cancel...8407153&sr=8-3
Depends if you're looking for in ear or over ear as well. I've tried the latest Sennheiser Momentums BT over ears and they were pretty great as well. Better SQ too, but $200 more.
A lot of headphones have active noise cancelling and ambient modes for every purpose. For the gym mine will block out anything annoying, but when I'm walking the dog I use ambient mode.★★★ A State of Trance Crew ★★★
